RoutePin ("we", "us", or "our") operates routepin.app. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: Email address, password (hashed), and optional business name when you register.
- Customer data: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and service history that you upload or import. This is your business data — we store it solely to power the RoutePin features you use.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to help us improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the RoutePin service (geocoding addresses, proximity searches, reactivation messaging).
- To send you service-related communications (account confirmations, password resets).
- To improve and debug the product.
- We do not sell your data or your customers' data to any third party.
- We do not use your customers' contact information for our own marketing.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We limit access to your data to only what is necessary to operate the service.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate RoutePin:
- Render.com — cloud hosting and deployment.
- U.S. Census Geocoding API — to convert street addresses into map coordinates. Only the address string is transmitted; no personal identifiers are included.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and customer data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual customers or all customers at any time from within the app. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@routepin.app. You own your customer data and can export or delete it at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
RoutePin is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
